Content Guide

What is Qigong?

Qigong (also spelled Qigong) is an ancient Chinese practice that combines three essential elements:

  • Gentle, flowing movements

  • Conscious breathing

  • Mindful awareness and energy focus

Its main purpose is to improve the flow of "Qi" (vital energy) throughout the body, helping you cultivate health, balance, and clarity. It’s accessible to all—regardless of age, physical condition, or health background.

Why is Qigong especially helpful for MPN patients?

People living with Myeloproliferative Neoplasms (MPNs) often face symptoms like fatigue, poor circulation, muscle stiffness, and anxiety. Qigong is not a replacement for medical treatment, but it offers a powerful complementary practice to improve quality of life:

  • Enhances blood and energy circulation

  • Reduces chronic fatigue and physical tension

  • Strengthens the immune system

  • Improves mobility and balance

  • Supports emotional regulation and calm

  • Decreases stress and mental overwhelm
