Turkey rolls with mushroom and onion base (optional cheese filling)

Believe it or not, it's a delicious and low-fat dish.

INGREDIENTS

  • Phyllo dough

  • 2 turkey fillets

  • 2 slices of light cheese (10% fat)

  • Tray of mushrooms

  • 1 large onion

  • Extra virgin olive oil

  • Herbes de Provence

  • Pepper

  • Spiced salt

ELABORATION

  • Preheat the oven to 200º

  • Wash the mushrooms and cut them into strips.

  • Chop the onion into strips as well.

  • In a baking tray, make a base of mushrooms and onion, add a little oil, herbs and salt.

  • Let it cook until the onion is translucent; it won't reach the golden point because of the water from the mushrooms.

  • We cut the turkey fillets in half (like opening a sandwich) and put in the slice of low-fat cheese (you can do without the cheese or use another variety).

  • We season the turkey fillets and wrap them in the filo pastry, making several passes, as if it were the aluminum foil of a sandwich, and close the ends in the same way.

  • We take the tray out of the oven and place the rolls on top, then put it back in until we see that the surface layer of the dough is toasted.

Note: Phyllo dough is typical of Arab cuisine, its fat content is around 1% and it is basically made up of wheat flour, water and a touch of olive oil.
