From January 24th to 26th, the MPN Educational Roundtables brought together a global consortium of experts, patients, and advocacy groups, united in their mission to improve the lives of those affected by Myeloproliferative Neoplasms (MPNs). The Spain roundtable shed light on the journey of a young woman with Primary Myelofibrosis (MF), emphasizing the challenges MPN patients face, including inconsistent treatment approaches within Spain and Europe. Concerns over the side effects hinder the adoption of new medications, highlighting the need for better patient education and communication. The discussion also explored the benefits of long-term Interferon therapy, which, despite potential side effects, could change the disease’s course and reduce progression risk.
