Roundtables for Patients Are Back: A Space to Talk and Share About MPNs

At the Global MPN Scientific Foundation, we believe that access to information is essential, but having a space to talk, listen, and share experiences with others living with myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) is just as important.

For this reason, we are bringing back our patient roundtable meetings, an open space designed to discuss the questions, concerns, and experiences that often arise in daily life with essential thrombocythemia, polycythemia vera, or myelofibrosis.

These roundtables are participatory sessions where patients and caregivers can share their thoughts, ask questions, and listen to others who may be going through similar situations.

During these conversations, participants often reflect on topics such as:

• symptoms and their impact on daily life

• experiences with treatments

• managing uncertainty

• the importance of reliable information and community support

The goal is not to provide individual medical advice, but to create a respectful space for dialogue, connection, and shared understanding.

Talking with others who understand the experience of living with an MPN can help people feel less alone, gain new perspectives, and better understand their own journey.

These roundtables encourage open conversations where patients can exchange experiences, concerns, and reflections, creating a supportive environment within the MPN community.
