On March 21, the Global MPN Scientific Foundation will participate in a collaborative international webinar with MPN China in recognition of Chinese Platelets Day. This event brings together patients, physicians, researchers, and organizations from different parts of the world to share knowledge about platelets and myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs).

Chinese Platelets Day, observed annually on March 21, highlights the importance of platelets in blood health and raises awareness about conditions in which platelet levels play a central role. This includes myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) such as essential thrombocythemia, polycythemia vera, and myelofibrosis.

For patients living with these rare blood cancers, understanding how platelets behave and how they are monitored is an important part of clinical care and long term disease management.

In recognition of this day, MPN China has invited the Global MPN Scientific Foundation to participate in a collaborative webinar, creating an international space for dialogue between patient communities, medical experts, and research partners.

This initiative reflects a growing movement toward global collaboration in the MPN field.

Myeloproliferative neoplasms affect patients across all continents. While healthcare systems and treatment access may vary between countries, the need for reliable information, research progress, and community support is shared worldwide.

The mission of the Global MPN Scientific Foundation is to unite and represent as many international MPN associations, foundations, physicians, researchers, and patient communities as possible.

Events like this collaborative webinar with MPN China help strengthen a global ecosystem based on cooperation between the three key pillars of the MPN community:Patients and patient organizations, Physicians and researchers, The pharmaceutical and scientific industry.

By working together, these groups help accelerate research, improve education, and ensure that patient perspectives remain central in the development of new therapies.

Collaboration between MPN China and the Global MPN Scientific Foundation reflects a broader vision of building a truly international network dedicated to supporting people living with myeloproliferative neoplasms.

Through webinars, educational programs, patient tools, and international partnerships, the foundation works to connect communities and share knowledge across borders.
