From a Daughter’s Journey to Supporting the MPN Community

Sometimes, the most meaningful projects begin with a personal story.

When someone you love is diagnosed with an MPN, daily life changes. Questions appear. Uncertainty grows. And suddenly, you realise how little practical, accessible support exists for everyday aspects such as movement, rest and wellbeing.

This is where the story behind our Wellbeing Project truly begins.

The Wellbeing Project: caring for life beyond medical results

Living with MPN is not only about treatments, lab results or medical reports. It is about how we feel in our bodies, how we move, how we manage fatigue and how we live each day.

That is why the Wellbeing Project was created: to support people living with MPN and their caregivers beyond medical treatment, offering holistic and human tools to help manage symptoms, side effects and emotional impact.

These practices do not replace medical treatment. They complement it, supporting emotional balance, energy regulation and quality of life. The project includes approaches such as Qigong, conscious breathing, EFT Tapping, meditation and gentle movement, always adapted to the reality of living with MPN.

A new step forward: movement and physical activity

As part of this commitment to wellbeing, we are additionally strengthening the role of safe, adapted physical activity within the project.

This is where Tania’s journey connects with the Wellbeing Project.

Meet Tania: when personal experience becomes wellbeing support

“Hi, I’m Tania, a personal trainer and occupational therapist, specialised in strength training and women’s health.

My journey into the MPN world began with my mother’s diagnosis of Essential Thrombocythemia. Faced with her experience, I realised how little clear and practical information existed about exercise for people living with MPN.

That moment led me to study, research and listen. The result is a 70-page practical guide that brings together what we know about the benefits of physical activity in cancer and what is currently known about exercise in Myeloproliferative Neoplasms.

The guide also addresses nutrition, rest and sleep, habit changes, integrative therapies and the role of occupational therapy in adapting daily life. It includes a dedicated section for women and a real-life example of an adapted training session.

Above all, this work has one clear purpose:to help people living with MPN feel safe, supported and confident when integrating movement into their lives, always at their own pace and with respect for their bodies.

Movement is not about pushing limits. It is about listening, adapting and reconnecting.

Walking this path together

The Wellbeing Project exists to create spaces where people living with MPN feel seen, heard and supported, both emotionally and physically.

If you are living with MPN or caring for someone who is, this space is for you.
