Five Years, One MPN Family

Yesterday, I was walking through sunny Barcelona and sat on a bench on one of our main streets, still impressed by what happened over the past weekend.

We had our 5th MPN Spring Symposium, as usual in Barcelona, and we welcomed over 50 participants, including patients, physicians, researchers, caregivers and pharma representatives.

I don’t want to go into details, but rather share the general impression I got from the event.

Five years ago, I started this Foundation with the idea of offering a platform for MPN patients, physicians and pharmaceutical representatives, giving them the opportunity to discuss our common unmet needs and challenges, mainly those caused by symptoms, but also to look ahead to the future.

Looking back, I can truly say we have formed an MPN family, where everyone participates actively in a flexible program and has the chance to share their opinions.This year, many new countries were represented, and we even had our first contact with China.

I am deeply touched by the fact that, in only five years, we have achieved the main goal of this Foundation.

A profound sense of happiness and gratitude has filled my mind and motivated me to continue our efforts, doing everything possible to improve the lives of MPN patients.

We have succeeded in bringing together all the different parts of this MPN family, and several new and exciting projects are already on the table.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this dream a reality, and to all the participants for your collaboration and energy.Next year, we will make it even better.
