Living with a myeloproliferative neoplasm is never just about blood counts. For many women, it is also about fertility questions, hormonal changes, pregnancy decisions, career pauses, family responsibilities, invisible fatigue, and emotional resilience.
At the Global MPN Scientific Foundation, we believe that women with MPN deserve content that reflects their real-life experiences. That is why we have expanded our dedicated resources for women on both our website and our YouTube channel.
This is not just awareness. This is practical, relevant, and accessible support.
MPNs affect women at different life stages, and each stage brings specific considerations:
• Fertility preservation and family planning
• Pregnancy management and treatment adjustments
• Menopause and symptom overlap
• Iron deficiency, heavy menstruation, and anemia-related fatigue
• Emotional wellbeing and identity shifts
These topics require nuance. They require clinical expertise. And they require lived experience. Our new content brings all three together.
Go into our YouTube channel.
On our website, you will now find expanded content focused specifically on women living with MPNs.
This includes:
• Educational articles addressing reproductive health and treatment considerations
• Patient-centered discussions about quality of life
• Guidance on navigating medical conversations
• Real-world perspectives from women in our global community
Our goal is to make complex topics easier to understand, while always respecting that every medical decision must be individualized and discussed with healthcare professionals.
The expansion of women-focused content reflects something important: we have listened.
We have listened to the questions asked during webinars. We have listened to the stories shared in our community. We have listened to the concerns expressed by women at different stages of life.
And we are committed to continuing this work.
If you are a woman living with an MPN, we invite you to explore the new resources on our website and our YouTube channel. Share them. Discuss them. Bring them to your medical appointments.
And if you have a story that could help others, we would be honored to amplify your voice, share by using #buidhopeMPN
Together, we continue building a space where science, experience, and community meet.
